I use constantly but i keep gorgorians and they can produce a lot of toxins. Carbon is my safety net.

I use carbon 24/7, clearer water, less smell, removes toxins.

I keep multiple small quantities in separate bags in a reactor at all times. I change out just one of the bags (the oldest), once a month.
This gives me good carbon effectiveness without the shock that can occur with some corals if you put a large amount of fresh carbon in at once.
