So I was thinking. Unlike traditional regulators which have an actual mechanical needle valve, the Carbondoser regulates CO2 by opening and closing a solenoid. But if the solenoid fails in the open position, it will dump a whole ton of CO2 in your reactor. I don’t know much about solenoids so not sure how likely this is. So to prevent that, would it make sense to have another electronic solenoid on the CO2 line hooked up to the same PH controller? That way, if the Carbondoser solenoid fails, you have a failsafe that will shut off CO2. Thoughts?
