So my question is about the top cardinalfish, I may just not be that observant but I do not believe my cardinalfish has looked like this before. The mouth seems extremely full and almost sagging. Is it possibly it is eggs in the mouth? I do have a pair of cardinals in the tank but not sure on the sexes.

Yup. He's full of little ones. Ive got a mated pair in my 125. He'll get pretty miserable before he finally spits them out.
