Last Friday I made a trip to Aquatic Critter. Haven't been there in years it seems. I was mainly just browsing, didn't really talk to anyone as I guess Fridays are their days for water changing and they got in a large order of fish they was unpacking. But I was offered help several times.

I noticed this purple rock in some of their SW fish tanks. I went home and looked it up. I really like the look of this rock. Mainly the shapes they had. I can't find much info on it as far as SW only or could this rock be used in a African Cichlid setup? It looks like if you order online, it just comes dry in a box.

I sent Caribsea a email but thought I'd asked here.

Its meant for salt water mainly but since cichlids like pH at a higher range they probably wouldn't mind the buffer it gives the water so I don't think you would have anything to worry about. Caribsea just uses a calcium carbonate rockbase and paint it with a purple coating I believe.
