I have a YWG and Tiger PS in my Fluval Evo. I have caught the Goby but need to catch the shrimp. I could probably catch him with a net but, will he shoot me or break the net and attack something?

No he won't shoot you .:p:cool:..try using a clear cup and guide him in with the net if you can..then he won't get caught up in the net

Oh, well I caught him lol.
I know this post is from February, but might I ask....how did you catch the Pistol? I have been trying to get mine out for months. The goby was caught right away but the PS is hidden most of the time and when he does make an appearance he is VERY timid to come out from under the rock work. I've tried the inverted bottle trap and have a fish trap baited with LRS inside with drop door and I just cannot get him to go in. He would never come out far enough for a net. Other than locating him and trying to suck him out with a hose I am at a loss.

Well me and a friend got a net and a breeder box and got him in a corner after pulling the rocks up to get him in the corner. Then we put the net up against the wall where he was after many tries and got him in the breeder. It was a little unusual of a way to get him. The thing is though it may not work if you have a big tank because My tank is 13.5 gal.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have a 90 gal and a LOT of rock work so that method wouldn’t be practical. Thanks :)
