I have had this blue crush frag for about 3-4 months now. It was growing great for a while and then all the sudden last week I saw a little bald spot where the skeleton was showing...Nothing around it that could have stung it. Everything else looks great. The Blue Crush was still eating and then this morning I was feeding all the corals and i noticed that that one bald spot turned into half of the frag.....I am kind of dumb founded since i have been growing chalice corals for a while now and have never had this problem.... Any ideas on what it is would be greatly appreciated....:squigglemouth:

Thanks
Kevin

I have never tested for anything else to tell you the truth. I dose every 2 days to keep stable params. I do water changed every 5 days. It is sitting a couple of inches away from a CB fuego Chalice that is doing just fine....

Test for Nitrate and Phosphate might be too high or flow is it getting direct flow from your pumps.

I guess I might have to break down and test for these...LOL...darn it.... I have 2 mp 10's that are on anti-sync mode towards the top of the tank and this is at the bottom....It just sucks because I got is as such a small piece and grew into 7 eyes quickly and had very nice coloration...

I may just have to get another one... I have a pretty extensive collection of chalices and everything else is fine...Just that particular one is doing bad.... Maybe i just need to cut off the 2 eyes that are still there and see if i can save it

Can u post a pic of it ? Might help

Will do in a couple of hours when I get home...Like I said it started out as a small spot and the chalice was still eating and then from 1 week to the next it just keeps on deteriorating.

I was going through my pictures and this one was shot about 2 weeks ago. You can see the small spot forming in the middle of the Blue Crush.

I figured out finally what was going on..... I woke up on saturday and my CB Crazy Clown Chalice was half way gone and I saw these two guys next to them...... Time pull these little *******s out of the tank.... Really sucks because I really liked them but my chalices are more important than a couple of shrimp. I started reading up on sexy shrimp eating coral and there were various accounts of this happening.
