Hello,

Plopped a CBB into my qt tank. I didnt fresh water dip as I didnt have time.

He is kinda doing some head shakes. I dropped some ruby reef rally pro in there to start. Noticed a mark on it that I didnt see at the petstore. Dont know if its from the heater or something else. Let me k ow what yall think. Hopefully I can get it to eat.

Thank you

Looks like an abrasion or a tang stab. Was this fish in a tank with tangs, or did the LFS netter chase the fish around and bash it about during the bagging situation?

Likely going to need antibiotics, but I don't engage in these recommendations, it's not my specialty.

This is a nick type injury which should heal on its own. Keep an eye on area for becoming red or sore which would then require treatment

Hopefully this is just a ding from being captured at the LFS. However, the size and location could also be Uronema, an internal protozoan disease that is sometimes seen in this species when freshly acquired. Watch for rapid breathing and not eating as secondary symptoms. It isn't really treatable when it is internal like that.....
