Does Cespitularia grow like Xenia? I'm thinking of doing a seahorse tank with it some gorgonians, and macroalage. So I really don't want that Xenia craziness. Though beautiful it is :)

its a gorgeous coral, but it grows way too fast. It grows these long arms that will eventually touch another rock and then grab hold and start growing from there. I took mine out of the tank after a year, I got tired of cutting it back.

I got a frag 2 months ago and its already spreading as well. Were you able to pull it off the rock with twizers?

My Cespitularia grew fairly quickly. It grows by sending out runners, which sprout new arms. You can trim the arms back but they will almost always grow new sprouts back.

Not too hard to control - but a bit annoying.
