Chalice "bounce" popped

I thought I might get a faster response here on what I should do with my chalice that had bounced but is now popped open and flesh with eyes and brown stuff is clinging on. Leave it be? Cut it off and dip in Iodine? Will the flesh piece be like a frag or just toss it? If you want to read more about it here is my thread in the lps forum

If it has brown slime, I’d dip immediately and monitor closely.
Check your water parameters and monitor them daily. Make sure the chalice has proper flow too.

It's not slime but it is brown. Came home and the piece is no longer attached. Trying to see if it's still in the tank somewhere. I actually moved it out of flow because it was lifting up other parts of the chalice. I know flow is good to fight infection but it seemed like it was doing more damage.

Definitely more damage to the piece than where the tear happened and after last night. I since pulled it and gave it an iodine dip and have it under more flow again. When I dipped it there was some fluorescent yellow slime that came off.

Keep dipping in the iodine, at least daily, sometimes these "infections" in chalices are really hard to stop. but i haven't really found anything that works better than an iodine based dip. Maybe someone can chime in that has had better luck with something else. For me once a chalice gets going like this one its a 50/50 proposition at best.

Came home today and the dead tissue area did grow some, so I decided to try and frag it without proper tools. The frag tile it's on made it very difficult but a chunk with nearly all of the dead tissue came off. Local forum member suggested chemiclean dip. May do that tomorrow instead of another iodine dip. Fingers crossed I can at least save a small frag.
