Chalice Decaying?

So we have a chalice colony that's been doing very well. It's been growing like crazy and there are constantly new eyes growing as well. We've had it for about 3 months now with no problems.
We noticed yesterday that it looks like something is eating away at it - as if it was decaying.
Tested pH, alk, calcium, nitrates - and everything is ideal.

We did a revive dip and it looked like there may have been tiny tiny bugs that came off - but we're not sure. Are there little bugs that eat chalices?

I don't think so. It's receding like that on the opposite side as well. There's a few chalices on the side that I've shown, but nothing near the other side. THe ones that are close - I don't think they're close enough to

i would try to put vit. c in your tank always helped me when my chalices are lookin under the weather i use the bright well vit c and do whatthe amount says to do

Check for swings... Mainly temp b/c of recent cold weather is heater keeping up???
