Chalice: frag it or leave it?

so I picked up this Hollywood stunner chalice that received a little damage during removal from the sellers tank, then apparently took a little damage in the travel home. Should I let it be or frag the dying tissue and dip the coral? If I should dip, what is the best solution for what appears to be an infection? First pic is day received(Wednesday), second pic is today.

Parameters are:
SG 1.026
Alk 8dkh
Calc 480
Mag 1500
Nitrate 5-10 (my LPS and softies like a lil dirt)
Lighting is dual kessil 160we and dual hot5 (one 10k, one 420nm)
110 tall with refugium and seperate sump
Everything else looks happy and healthy, I just don't want this to spread and lead to the termination of this beautiful animal.

I would cut and dip, coral RX is pretty good stuff, I've lost frags of Hollywood that started out looking just like that

Also is that a montipora to the right of the hollywood? I would move it if it is, Hollywood has some long stingers and will kill it. Here's my current war zone

That's what I was thinking too. As its only my second chalice added wanted to be sure. My first keeps getting fatter, but won't seem to "shelf". Been waiting on a reason to pop this seal on my coral Rx, looks like the opportunity to give er a go. Thanks for quick response!

Should I keep it near the Sandbed as is or would moving it up be safe with my lighting? It would probably be 10-12 from water line, and about 18-20 from light

Mine is doing really well in lower lighting, it's about 20 inches from the Kessels and florescents, and the metal halide doesn't even touch it, in a year it's gone from a silver dollar size to a large saucer/small plate and keep its color really well, do you use acro power?

Negative on acro power. Honestly first time hearing of it. Operation was a success. We shall see how she heals. Post a pic in a sec of outcome of surgery

Well. Hope to have saved the mother, was able to get a couple frags out the mix as well. (That's old glue not dead tissue on the plugs). Fingers crossed on an expedient recovery! Thanks for the help guys!

First off Hollywood stunners grow quick as they have thinner skeleton than say a mummy eye. Sweepers are super long so watch placement. And I wouldn't put it up high as it will grow and shadow everything underneath.

That's pretty much what I've gathered from my research. Appreciate the advice. Created about an 8-9" buffer between any other coral as well when placed back close to Sandbed.

So looking happy and healthy. All edges healed up nicely and showing purple coloration of new growth. Thanks again for the help everyone. There is one smaaaaaall corner that has skeleton showing, but has been that way with no spread since the fragging. Watching closely and will update as it returns to its former glory.

Had to frag the lower edge as well due to tissue recession but that has healed up quickly as well. If not quicker than the side frag.
