This thread is great! I am new to reef keeping and have become obsessed with chalices. I have had one for a couple months now and I have four more new frags that just came in the mail today. I am at school right now but I cant wait to get home and see how they look in a couple hours. I look forward to all of your insights with growing them. And will keep you posted on how a newby does with them.

The one I have seems to be doing ok. But it looked as if it might have lost a little flesh. I am keeping on eye on it. My water has been good except my density has been a little high. Thats about it. I tried feeding it mycis the other day but it looked as if they didnt really stick to the chalice. I may need to catch it with its tenticals out I dont know.

Dang jose. The piece you got is definitely bigger than the piece I got of the same colony. I must tell you guys this coral is definitely LE material. Too bad at the moment only me and jose have this. HAHAHA

Weird thing about this chalice....its not even colored yet. I cant wait till i put mine in my tank and sit on it for like 1 year.
