I have recently upgraded my nano to a waterbox cube 20 and my old skimmer didn't fit in the new rear sump

I have changed it and also I want to upgrade sump including an aqua medic reactor to introduce activated carbon in the middle section of the sump together with the skimmer but it fits very tight with the AI Prime 16HD

I'm wondering if somebody has mounted it (I have the metallic tank mount) backwards with the pastic part outside the aquarium and the metalic inside, not sure if it's safe, not only for cristal stabilit but also if mount and/or screw could potentially rust with salted water

Any help is welcome!!

Thanks in advance!

The steel screws and aluminium mount will definitely cause issues. That's a tricky one. You could probably cut a little off of the large plastic screw, but that would only give you another 3/8" or so.

1" pvc, heat gun, small 2x4 to press it flat. Don't heat it too quick or you will burn it. I'd just clamp the bottom after pvc primer/cement and be off to the races once it's dry. Might give it a good soak in RO before using.
