I may go all T-5's on my 120g instead of (2) 250w MH's. What do you think?

Could I grow sps anywhere in the tank? LOL!

Picking colors seem like it would be tough to get one your happy with.

it would work and you certainly wouldn't have a problem growing sps, but i personally think the combo of mh and t5's is where it's at.

MH's just make things look better....every tank i've seen with sps and all T5's.....the sps just looks "un-natural" (color wise). everything looks like it came out of an easter basket with all the pastel colors.

T5's all the way. Couldn't be happier with the sps in my tank under t5.

the pictures hurt my eyes....lol

but i don't like how those sps look either......and the problem is that when you look at every sps in the tank, each coral has 1 color......maybe 2. the problem is color contrast within each individual coral that i've noticed comes with T5's.......some people like it, some don't.....its really personal preference.

halides seem to bring out more colors per coral, and gives the skin of the sps a nice metallic sheen rather than looking like a box of crayons.

BTW...

You should mix the MH and T5s. Much better in my opinion. I don't have much experience with T5s, but I saw some local friends tanks and the combination of the two is INCREDIBLE!!!

You sound like my dad... (he runs pro-tools recording studio and big mac fan) I used to be a big mac fan till they sold out and ditched on everything that made them great, if I want to run bsd unix, I'll just load that and save a lot of cash. :D

Not true!!! They are still the best, even though they do just run unix now. :(
