Changing double overflow out?

so the more I look at my 120 w/ duel overflow the less I like it. Thinking about taking the double off and sealing off the tank bottom and drilling the back side for a better/ cleaner look. I would predicate any thought on this endeavor. This is a new build that is just in its infancy. It's a used tank by the way.
