There has recently been a shortage of Triton Other Methods locally and the LFS is not expecting another batch for 2 months. Therefore, i've decided to switch from Triton Other methods to Tropic Marin Balling Method. I have an Alkatronic and Dosetronic so life has been easy and the tank on autopilot for the most part since Core 7 - 1, 2, 3a and 3b were dosed in equal amounts. I checked my calcium and magnesium every 2 weeks and adjusted manually if they were off. My calcium was being consumed quite a bit so I had to regularly dose that which i did with Fritz Calcium Chloride. I also do 15%-20% water change every month. I had good growth but the colors could be better.

Anyway, I'm quite concerned now that i'm having to switch to a new method i'm not familiar with. I've been using Triton Other Methods for the last 3 years. It was between RedSea and Tropic Marin and since I use the TM salt I decided to go with TM balling method. Has anyone out there switched over from Triton Other Methods to Tropic Marin Balling Method? If so, can you advise anything in need to look out for or any tips that should be noted.

Would greatly appreciate any assistance.

I’m loving the diy all for reef with kalk at night for ph balance. I switched from aqua forest. Now I have less mixing and everything looks great.

Aquaforest... Yep, the hidden secret out there. I run my system on AF products but use All For Reef for Calk, Alk and Mag.
