Good morning!

Yesterday I installed the Aquatic Life 4-stage RODI buddie. I installed it to my showerhead (standard 1/2 inch pipe, using a brass 1/2 to 3/4 inch female to female adapter and then a 3/4 inch nipple to connect that to the push to connect 3/4 inch coupler that comes with the system.

It leaks and sprays even with plumbers tape so I was looking to see if there was a better push to connect adapter.

I found this - which would mean that I could attach it directly to the shower head pipe.

Is this what I need? Has anyone done this?

That has a 3/8 push to connect fitting where your RODI is 1/4
The inner diameter on this is 1/4" - I was planning on heading over to Lowe's at lunch with a bit of extra tubing to test it - mostly I was looking for feasibility to swap out the plastic adapter for a brass one

Lowe's was super helpful in identifying that I was missing washers...unfortunately they didn't sell any in the size I needed!

However - I did find the mail adapter version of the female connector that came in the rodi system. So I picked that up, connected it to the shower head via the tubing that came with the old nozzle and it works! No more leaking and a much friendlier setup
