Some pictures and more details on what is failing? I would avoid anything metal or you potentially will have metals in your water. Brass = copper and zinc.

HD, Lowes - John Guest plastic push loc fittings are nearly indestructible.

8+ years on my system and I've replaced nothing but filters and membrane. I have plastic shutoffs at several locations including the tee before the di resin that goes to my fridge and drinking faucet.
Maybe a pic to see exactly what is failing. I have tees / splitters but none with a built in shut off like your describing. It may be a simple fix if you can show us what is needed

I use a hose y with shut off from Menards. The seal only lasts around a year.
Assuming you're using a Y for a standard hose bib and then an adapter on your rodi tubing? I had the same problem with those Ys. I ended up cutting a new bib into my main just after the shut off valve

I currently use the y adaptor. Where I have the washer hooked up to. I'm either going to plumb it with my ice maker or add another coupling to add the rodi unit with a push to connect to turn it off and on.
