I've recently set up a pH meter to see where my pH sits.
I was thinking with a smaller house, two dogs, two cats, etc. That my pH would be pretty low. To my surprise it's actually at a pretty good range. IF* the probe is accurate...
MY ph starts the day at about 8.11 and then climbs to 8.27.
Is this a good range? Should I consider dosing kalk?
What would do you all recommend?

I couldn’t figure out what the title was about, the coffee pot didn’t launch properly either this morning?

I worried about pH because I had a crappie tester. Once I got a more reliable test I had results similar, maybe slightly lower than what you have. Unless you’re trying to farm coral or get it to breed in your tank then I don’t think you should worry about the good results you have now.

But let’s hear from pH chasers and what they recommend- BUMPS

I would not do anything with that range. Keep fresh air in the house and you are all set. There are many people who have spent many hundreds of dollars and many hours trying to get to this spot... and then it doesn't last because their media exhausts... and they start the cycle again.

The ph makes an "f" sound. The title is a pun. Perfection. Spelled with ph.

Any thoughts on maybe setting up a refugium to run at night?
I have a refugium on my fish tank and I like it because it provides a spot for pods and tiny critters to grow and feed the fishes "real" food. I have never checked to see how it impacts pH cuase the main reason is I set it up was to uptake nutrients so I don't have to change water as often and to provide a place for tiny critters to thrive.
