I was sitting on the can thinking all a filter roller really is a TP dispenser. So the "bright" idea was to use some PVC pipe to hold one new filter roll and do the same on the other side with an old empty roll. Drill a some holes into the bottom of a 4" specimen cup and run a pin through the specimen up about half way up. Drill some overflow holes above the pin. Next run the filter paper from the new roll, under the pin and to the old roll. Plumb the drain over the specimen cup and pin.

The last touch is to use an automatic filter feeder attached to the empty roll tube. Every time the filter feeder runs a loop it should pull enough new filter paper to keep the system going for months.

It is crude but I don't see why it won't work.
