Cheato Reactor, container not clear material

Hi,

Do you think Cheato will still grow effectively if the container material is smoked grey plastic?
Pic attached.

I will use led strips but 1-2” away from the plastic to prevent any direct heat issues.

Those who have built cheato media reactors, how do you prevent debris build up on the cheato? Sponge on pump intake?

I have not found cheato reactors to be too effective.
You might want to consider getting something like the aqua max biomaxx reactor for optimal light penetration.

Can you clarify? You are saying overall, the cheato reactors make no difference?
I certainly don’t want to spend on the aquamaxx if that is not even effective.

They can be very effective. I have seen them used effectively. I haven’t had any personal luck with them
