Buy some aquacultered live rock, receive some free aptasia!

No this is not a single thing. Every single one of thier 12 tanks is FILLED with it, along with a few floaters.

I have never seen Petco sell LR.

I could of used those rock when I was trying to keep my 100 Berghia's alive. Alas it is all about timing.

This one does apparently.. You can't really read the tag but they all had tags on them to buy, i shoulda snapped some more pictures of the other tanks.

My petco has ich 24/7 plus hair algae on every flag plug. The only time I get anything from them is Sat. mornings when they are unboxing their ORA shipment and I can get it before they open the shipping bag

Against better judgement I did beef up my CUC a bit from the store. They will be goinf into QT for a bit. But out of curiosity im going to test the water they gave me

I forget the name of it, but it is a stress coat. I've gotten them a couple times, but my actual LFS is much better. Petco is an equipment only store for the $5 rewards

Sheesh!

They make great beginner anemones obviously. Just kidding, why would anyone buy petco livestock

my petco sells it for $25 for ~3 lb. piece,,,I doubt they make any profit
That's expensive for live rock maybe they're charging more for the aptasia. I payed $5 per lbs at my local lfs for cured live rock no aptasia included.

I've bought fish from Petco. In my opinion you just have to be more thorough and use common sense in your selection and not to mention a QT is a necessity not a luxury when dealing with Petco.

That would be a boon for Berghia Nudi breeders. Petco really vary from store to store depending on the knowledge of the staff. My local Petco has walt smith cultured rock that is totally clean and looks great. But I can't buy any fish there because of Petco's insane "Going Blue" fish treatment initiative that prohibits them from using anything that is proven effective to treat ich and instead must use ineffective "natural remedies".

Blue could be Methylene Blue often used post transport for Nitrite,Ammonia poisoning.
