So I'm posing a question to see what everyone's opinion is on these two brands of chemical filtration. I'm fairly new to the reefing hobby, but I'm also not an idiot or a novice. Which do you think is better for a 25gal nano tank? I'm currently running the Chemipure Blue and I think it may have bottomed out my phosphate as it's testing at zero and I've been dealing with a dinoflagellate outbreak for a few months. My nitrates are pretty low at 2ppm, so I'm skipping water changes to currently try and bring those up. In your opinion, which one is better for a mixed reef tank? If you're currently using one of these products, would you recommend it?

Will it be populated by a significant amount of nitrifying bacteria if not replaced frequently, such that its removal will present a risk? Thank you.

No, there's no risk removing GAC from a reef tank. :)
