I prefer ROX 0.8 carbon. That said, be careful with how much you use because it is every efficient and you may overstrip your water, making it too clean. I follow the BRS calculator to determine how much to use and change it out every 2 weeks. I used to use Chemipure, now I use ROX 0.8. I'm not sure that I believe in Chemipure's claims of lasting 3 months.

Make sure you use a mesh bag that is rated fine. The ROX 0.8 is very small and will slip through the holes of a mesh bag rated as medium.

No.

Chemipure Blue - 5.5 oz - $11.99
BRS ROX 0.8 carbon - 12 oz - $19.99

The more you buy, the ROX carbon becomes much cheaper than the Chemipure Blue.

Chemipure blue is carbon and purigen together, so its not a fare 1:1 comparison. If you just want carbon rox is definitely better and cheaper
