Think I’m winning the war. Not half as bad today as it’s been. Toadstool opened up finally since this started. There’s appears to be some light at the end of the tunnelSometimes they can tell by the way it moves, a video will help them too. They all kinda look the same lol.I can’t really tell, and don’t want to give you a random guess. The folks on Macs are better at ID.

So my phosphates are up .16 nowWhen phosphates are low, @Miami Reef recommends doses of 0.1-0.15 ppm until the tank holds detectable phosphate. I think that’s great advice. Rock and sand binds a shocking amount of phosphate and you could spend forever trying to raise the tank levels using small doses.Sounds like a great fish clean-up crew, you’ll have this fixed up in no time.
Phosphate can get bound and used rapidly. I recommend testing daily until you get used to its usage pattern.
I also like to make my TSP solution so it’s 0.01ppm /ml for my tank volume so it is easy to put on a doser and dose a little throughout the whole day.
Don’t be bashful with it. I recently accidentally dosed 10x what I normally do…and it all sorted itself out in a couple days.

So my phosphates are up .16 now
I found some of the sodium phosphate dibasic unopened in my basement.
So if I’m understanding this correctly you want to mix to a solution equal to adding 0.01 phosphate per ML? So for example 1000ML mixed with 1 Tsp?
This stuff is way more potent than neophos if that’s the case.
I have it a on a doser. I was up to 200ML a day and the highest I’ve seen is .16So my phosphates are up .16 now

Sodium phosphate dibasic and TSP are different chemicals. Maybe @Randy Holmes-Farley can let us know if there is any notable difference for the use of adding phosphate to a reef tank.
Na₂HPO₄ vs Na₃PO₄
Yes, I like making a solution of 0.01ppm phosphate per 1ml of solution.
It makes it easy to dose multiple times a day, keep track of how many ppm you are dosing a day, and easy to dose on a dosing pump. It also makes it easy to slightly increase and decrease dosage as needed.
(NeoPhos is made to work with all volumes of aquariums. When you make your own solution, it is tailored to your water volume.)
Here’s why: When I first had a bad phosphate binding problem, I would test in the morning (get a 0 ppm Phos), and then dose Phos. However, no matter how much I dosed in the morning, when I got home from work and tested Phos again, it would come back 0 ppm. Big swings from 0.4 ppm to 0 ppm Phos is not what I wanted for my corals. Which led me to put my Phos dosing on a dosing pump, dosing every hour. Using the dosing pump every hour is what helped me turn the corner with Phos stability in my tank.
Side note, if your tank is requiring a lot of Phos, say greater than 2.0 ppm per day, you may want to increase the solution to 0.1 ppm/ml.
How many ppm of phosphate are you dosing currently with NeoPhos?

Thank you randy!Careful on the quick google because I think the potency may have changed at some point , and I’d get it from the actual bottle.
Thought they were making a come back few days ago, saw some bubbles here and there and saw 1 under a microscope. Next day they were gone and haven’t seen them since. Did find some monti eating nudis Cpl days ago tho. Always something! So the brightwell websight was vague and useless, but a quick google gave me
NeoPhos-"1 ml NEOPHOS will increase the phosphate concentration in 1 US-gallon (~3.8 L) by ~1.2 ppm"
CHECK BOTTLE TO MAKE SURE THIS CONCENTRATION IS CORRECT.
1.2ppm/150gal = 0.008ppm/ml , 0.008ppm*200ml = 1.6ppm
So it looks like you have been dosing 1.6ppm per day if google and my math is correct. Please double check.
I would use the planted tank calculator, create a 0.01ppm/ml (for 150gal) Phos solution and set the doser for 6.6ml per hour at 24 hrs a day. Test and adjust dosing up and down as needed.
I like to test a few time a day (always halfway between doses, if dose is 10am test at 10:30am) for the first few days, then once I get an Idea how the dosing is going I test every day to every couple days at the same time of day to keep an eye on it. At some point when Phos is saturated, you'll see phosphate spike and thats your signal to lower daily dosing but don't stop dosing all at once you want to keep it stable.
Also keep an eye on Nitrate, you don't want that to hit zero either.
