Today, I picked up an auction order from Cherry Corals in Livonia, MI. I generally have it shipped. But I haven't ordered in over a year since the tank crash...I almost threw in the towel, if it wasn't for the tanks bringing Mom some joy. But the weather has been crap. Trapped in the house, for what seemed like weeks or I just haven't left the house since last year. So it was going to be an ok day about 40ish. So, I loaded Mom in the van and off we went to travel the hour plus drive time to the shop. I didn't think the drive would bother Mom too much...how wrong I was...but that's a story for another time. As Brett was working on filling my order as I had called ahead to say I was coming to get my order. As you may have guessed the place is set up for on line ordering....not for customer looking or shopping....but very clean and organized never the less. This didn't help Mom's demeanor (her being in a wheelchair). Because you look down on the corals from over head. But that did not deter me from looking at the awe inspiring Mother colonies (I've never saw that many mature corals at once) really gives you an perspective on what you can achieve from a frag. I enjoyed seeing so many great looking corals and some spectacular corals too...all in one place. I thought..if they look great here, they'll look even better in my tanks. How I wished I didn't need to eat or have that electric bill...lol. I would have left broke. My order loaded in the van and headed back home...I couldn't wait until I had everything home, in their new home. Now that I saw what they can really grow to... Now to save up for another auction or two....

I think it is nice to have a family member who enjoys the hobby. Nice to know that they are clean and organized as I probably will not get to visit them though I have bought from them at the manhattan frag swap.
