Same hereIf it was mine, I'd be a liitle scared, since the chip is on the bottom corner.
Yikes. I think it will be okay as well. Hope every goes ok.Same here
Then that is the answer. It could last another 10 years or fail in 10 minutes. With the location and my desire to sleep at night, I also would not risk it.Same here
Thank you, will keep this thread updatedYikes. I think it will be okay as well. Hope every goes ok.
I guess if it’s going to crack it will do it as soon as I fill it up not a week later correct? The main thing is making sure none of the cracks go all the way through. Not sure we would ever be able to tell in a picture, you have to inspect it closely in person.
Good to hear, how big was the sump? This tank is 73GI had a way bigger chip closer to the seal. It worked for almost 2 years without problems until I sold it. However that was the sump so lower pressure to deal with. I used 2 part epoxy to fill everything in so the chip is less prone to more damage.
Not so sure about that.I guess if it’s going to crack it will do it as soon as I fill it up not a week later correct?
It's fine IMO. Fill the chip with a blob of clear silicone to restore any lost integrity (real or imaginary). Works for windshields. Was just moving my tank and accidentally chipped it. Is it still good or too risky to use?
