Chiton laying eggs

Has anyone had chitons hatch? I bought 3 fuzzy chitons from Jon at reefcleaners a few months ago and noticed 1 laying a strand of eggs on my glass this evening. I'd never seen one of them leave the rocks. Pretty cool
