Chromis Question

That would be great. I have a similar controller on my beer I make. I turn the heater/cooler on max and put the probe in the water and let the controller turn power on or off. Do they make those for aquarium? Can you point me towards a solution?

DD Do a temperature controller.......

Got it. So I can plug my heater and my exhaust fan and see if that works. If not will have to get a chiller.

Yup when the tank needs heating heater kicks in, cooling heater turns off and fan on. With the DD one you set your variance -/+ of target temperature, ie mine is 28c and if temperature drops by 0.3c -/+ of 28c the appropriate heater/fan kicks in. No swings

Very normal. They are sort of in a coma as we humans who get up at 2 am are LOL. As we wake up over time and feel much more alive- same applies to aquatic life.

2 degrees shouldn't matter over a day ever been swimming in the ocean? Temperature can fluctuate slightly with a current. My tank hovers around 76 - 80 depending on the season. Even though it normally only changes from 77.5 - 78.5 daily.
