How mean are these little things? I'm looking to start a shoal of these (mix of springeri and azure) in my tank. Probably about 5. I'm wondering how I'm supposed to quarantine them. As I understand it, they will set up separate territories which they will defend, but won't actively go after each other. This is all well and good in a DT, but I'm worried about how it will go in a quarantine tank. The QT is 15 gallons, so no space for territories. Do I just fill the QT with a few pounds of PVC fittings and hope for the best? Or is it better to do a smaller group, or maybe just give up on the idea? Thanks!

Not very - the two you indicate are fairly peaceful (right now I have 6 damsels of 4 different species in my tank, including azure and sapphire devil). If they're all reasonably small, scattered PVC fittings should do the trick.

Thanks. Have you kept C. cyanea? I think they're the most beautiful species of damselfish, but some say that they're the most aggressive in the genus.
