Cipro in DT?

I bought a magnifica from LA. When it came in it looks to be in bad shape with mouth gapping about 3" wide. After acclimation, and waiting 3 hours in the QT, it didn't improve so I started the cirpo treatment. It is looking very good now. I will post pic once it is in the DT. But under white light, the tentacles are tan. Under blue, they resembles the Aussie gold torch.
I placed a mug in the QT. No matter what I do, it won't stay on the mug. My guess is there isn't enough surface area. So I place it on a large piece of live rock, it stays. The problem is my LR now has Cipro residue. Will it hurt invert, acropora and fishes once I transfer it to the DT?? Will it upset the balance in my LR? I think the fishes will be safe.

you are actually running the risk of making you anemone immune to Cipro treatment but adding rock to a tank with cipro in it as the rock changes the concentration by soaking up the meds. There's a reason it is mentioned specifically NOT to do that. You definitely can't reuse that rock without bleaching it.

Oh man.....how did I missed the part about not using the LR......I should have just let it stay on the glass then. Its foot is so big (5") that I has no problem removing it.
I only put in the LR yesterday on its last treatment in preparation to move it to the DT

the best you can do at this point is rinsing that LR in freshly made saltwater a few times, hoping to draw as much of the cipro out of the rock as possible before putting it back in. It's kind of 50/50 as to how it will end. Hopefully you've got fresh carbon with strong flow through it. I would replace it after a week.

Cipro actually becomes inert in daylight, why we dose at night, so I would not stress too much, but I would follow protocol properly as mentioned

Yeah your mag may move around not digging treatment, and wanting stable params and good light, way it goes, just screen it off well w/ eggcrate, make darn sure it can't get to pumps
