clam does not stay put

do not know the names of my clams but the smaller ones keep fallin on their side ive tried to put them on the rock but they end up on the floor ive tried pvc to hold them up and still on the floor ive bought brightwell clam holders and still nothing i have 2 larger ones that are on pvc couplings and are great the others not so good how do i keep them from falling tank is barebottom

Had those did nothing. For them they kept falling on their side
Position a couple small pieces of rock next to the sides of the clam so that it can still open and close, but physically CANT fall over because the rock is in the way.

Cut the flow down cut some pvc at a angle but found 2 of them on the floor this morning

First and foremost, go find out the name of the species you have. Some clams like rock and high intense lighting and others like and can take lower lights.

second, find out the size of your clam as it may need some feeding (dirty water).

lastly check the water flow and make sure it is not blasting at the clam. Of course if all your water premeters are in check.

clams move when they don’t like that spot either due to lighting, flow, or something is bothering it.
