Hi, i'm wondering if there is any documentation depicting the food size for various clams?

Like, what particle size each clam species will eat? Or what particle size clams of various size will eat?

Most sources seem to agree that clams will take phytoplankton, and from reading a few oyster care guides, it seems that most bivalves will filter out matter of around that size as well.

This was a good read, I can't remember if it mentioned phytoplankton sizes or not though:

yes, and will they filter out different sizes accordingly to their development stage. (smaller = smaller mouth ?)
My guess is that even tho a particular sized cell is very small, it is what's inside that same cell that a living organism will actually digest up into their tissues (wont say stomach because I have no clue if they have any). I guess the question should be in fact, how do they filter out the water ? gills ? osmosis ? i'm particularly interested in the size they can filter up.

I've been using Tahitian blend from Brine Brine Shrimp Direct for well over a decade and have gotten fantastic results from it. I can actually see my Gigas gain weight before it rewards me with a massive spawn. Which it did 3 times this year. I just broadcast feed the 500+ gallon system once a week with 10 drops of the concentrated paste directly above a powerhead and it quickly circulates through the system. The clams react immediately removing the phyto from the water column and within a few hours the tank is crystal clear again.
