I have a clam that has been attached to a rock for around a year. Lately it has released it and keeps falling over. Is there a reason it's doing this ? I have cut back on my lights since I have a problem with green hair algae.

Any Ideas Skinz 78?
This is where it was attached, it looks fine when I set it back on the rock but in the morning it's usually laying over again.

I would be interested as well. My clam seemed very happy for a couple months, but it kept falling over too. I thought it was just a snail knocking it over all the time, but maybe not.

I just checked to find my clam on the sand, for the second time, and this time my brittle star was eating its dead flesh. ugh. So yeah.. I'd like to know if there was something I was doing wrong here with it always letting its foot go of the rock and falling over.
