I just got my clarkii clownfish and he is just swimming in the same spot is that a bad thing
If you just got it, then I wouldn't be too worried. If it's been a few days maybe. If it doesn't have any other ailments, like heavy breathing, lethargic, not eating, white spots/fuzzy looking, I would post again with pictures.

Its just stressed and has stage freight. Dim the lights and or turn them off a bit earlier today so that he can settle down and get used to the new tank. Should be swimming about in no time. But do keep an eye on him the first couple of days for signs of stress or sickness and make sure he eats. But clown fish in general are very hardy.
