Hi I’ve had my cleaner wrasse for about two weeks, today I noticed he was at the bottom of my tank with his gills still moving, I tried to nudge it, and tried to swim away but seems week

What is the white coral skeleton at the top? When did that die?

Do you have any other fish? Are they ok?
Do you have corals? What kinds and are they ok?

Without parameters I’m trying to gauge a feel for the tanks conditions - is it in a state where other living creatures are looking normal ?

Cleaner wrasse can be VERY delicate depending on where they were collected. The common ones come from SE Asia and have a very high mortality rate. The ones from Australia or East Africa are harder to find and more expensive, but live better.

Did this wrasse eat well for you?

Do you notice any bruising or dark spots on its body?
Pic hard to see as it’s dark and always best undercc vs white light intensity
At times if cleaning a fish, they can be annoying and will get chased, even bitten
Mine is over 9 years old
Was it eating up to this point?
