Hi, I have a cleaner wrasse who is harassing a huge clown trigger to the point he try’s to hide from! I have had both for months. He eats the food I put in tank and cleans the other fish a little. This tank has a huge amount of rock in it so it will be really hard to catch him. Any suggestions? Thanks

How often do you feed and what is it eating? Is it nice and fat? Pics? I've never had an issue with cleaners harassing fish, but I feed often. Lot's of Hikari mysis (large and small), Nori, flakes, various pellets, etc. Cleaner wrasses really seem to go for the Golden pearls 500-800 micron size. Maybe it's hungry or it sees something on the clown trigger it wants to eat? In my personal experience cleaner wrasses do not get most of their food from cleaning fish. I can't even remember how old mine are now but many years. Mine act more like they feed in the open water on plankton and pick at small things on the rocks than parasites on fish. Now, that could be adapting to aquarium life, but they took to eating so quickly it makes me rethink what they eat.

I've had two cleaner wrasse, both captive-bred, and both had been great for a long time before deciding to go after one fish for no good reason. As far as I've heard wild-caught ones are even worse.

Luckily I've never found them hard to catch. They are too curious for their own good and can be easily caught with a trap.

Thanks, will catch him. Appreciate it
