Cleaning a Brute for water storage

Just brought a Brute LLDPE trash can for making up saltwater for water changes.

What should I clean it out with before using? Just a vinegar bath? Anything else to worry about using this for water storage?

The Brute is a very popular water storage container for us fish folks. I would first wash with a mild detergent to get rid of the mold release agents and rinse real well. You should than be good to go. Any of the rigid polyethylene compounds are good for use with our tanks.
