I like the old school I'm positive of every effect vinegar can have on my equipment short and long term and the same on my tank incase there's residue left on equipment. But it works and still works well.

White vinegar. That, and the smell Oh the smell. It's amazing. I usually do a 70/30 with hot water and run whatever it is I'm cleaning in said water. IE: Powerheads for about an hour.
