Cleaning tiger conch shell

Hi,

This might sound silly. Can I use a toothbrush and clean the tiger conch’s shell?
I’m setting up new tank, old one has infestation of aiptasia and hydroids. Snal shells pick up
just about everything. I had a turbo snail with an aiptasia growing on his back, ugh...
I removed the aiptasia, snail is still doing fine.

I want to be sure there is nothing carried over to new tank.

You can clean the shell but there is a possibility that there still might be some on the shell
