clear slime in my refugium

I have a clear slime in my fuge mostly covering my cheato
anyone know what this might be and why? and how to quickly correct this?

Ok after further i vestigation it seems to be more hair like algae with air bubbles attatched to it

Use some potassium that will speed up the growth from your chaeto to out compete the HA

Stringy stuff that produces bubbles is often dinoflagellates. Hopefully not. I assume the stuff growing on your heater is the same stuff growing in your chaeto- unfortunately it doesn’t look like HA, which I prefer to deal with instead of dinoflagellates.

How do i distinguish the difference between algae and dinos?

Ugh. I believe it is dinoflagellates. Crap! How did i get these things?

Now i gotta read best way to combat this stuff
