Clearing Apex data logs

Does anyone have instructions on clearing some of the data logs on my Apex? I had a faulty pH probe for a few weeks and i would like to delete that data and just start fresh. I read that a firmware update would do this so i updated but the old logs remain (apex_4.51_2E17). I also read something about Telnet but its rather confusing. Can anyone help out?
