Hey everyone. I recently started a 60 gallon tank and everything has been going fine. I let it cycle and added a clownfish who’s been in the tank for about 2 months now. After the clownfish I added a flame angel and Tomini tang together. Just recently I noticed the flame angel has one cloudy eye that seems completely covered and different than the other eye. On top of that the tomini tang just died tonight after being in the tank for about three weeks. Obviously something isn’t right. I’d upload a picture but I can’t figure it out. It’s just a puffy cloudy left eye. Thanks!

One eye cloud often suggests injury from net or other object and should be treated in separate tank with Maracyn aka Maracyn 1 which is ethromyacin for 5 days

Water change fixed my flame angels eye. 40% one. It was bacteria in the water.

Thank you I may try that if it doesn’t get better in next few days
This is something that can worsen and allow the fish to become blind in that eye and I personally wont let my fish wait out what can become severe

I’m in the same position as you. I just bought my flame Angel on Saturday and now one eye is cloudy and puffier than the other. It’s eating super well though and swimming nicely around the tank. I’m torn as to what to do for him.

Me too cloudy flame angel eye in my 4 week angel
So I used PraziPro from Hikari for 2 1/2 weeks and it healed my Flame. He’s back in my display tank and doing amazing. You must do as close as you can to 100% water changes every two to three days. Try to feed the your Flame a couple of times a day to keep his immune system up. Try not to over feed due to ammonia.
