Well, my female finally had enough of her hubby. My white cap pair, is not a bachelorette...

She kicked his but sideways while i was at work...

no wonder these things are so hard to breed.

The problem might be they can from the same clutch of eggs. If they are the captive bred ones from your area its highly likely.

Was their an anemone in the tank. I find that the anemone in with clowns helps them so much in everway.
 
I have 2 pairs of black and white Ocellaris and i had to switch the males because one of the females wouldn't accept the male (they were not from the same batch)i put with her even after a whole year of being in the same tank. Did the switch and she's been best buddy with the new male but only after giving him a good beating. Some female can be very choosy LOL ;)
 
i got a pair of whitecaps from michigan too and one killed the other
but they were extremely young
