Clown Fish and Anemone

Hi guys, my clown fish has just bonded with my rise tip anemone in the last few days, I've been waiting a while for this to happen!!! The clown fish is now aggressive towards any tank mates that swim near the anemone. Is this fairly normal behaviour??

It's a snow swirl clown (ocellaris)

Clown aggressiveness varies. IME some of them do get more protective of their space once they have a nem. He's just guarding his territory. It's pretty normal.
