Looking to buy a proven pair of clownfish in pa. Anyone who has a pair that would like let them go for some sort of reason or would just like some money please let me know. Interested in all clownfish variety!

I hope you find someone. Additionally, many times LFS sell pairs for the same price as the individual fish (ie. if they are $50/one, a pair will be $100).

PS - it's often fairly easy to get clowns to pair without actually buying a known pair

Agreed. And if you get them young enough, the sex has not yet been determined. They'll figure that out on their own!

If I got an older female or just an established one already with one male or non sexed, could that spread up the process a little?

It could - or it could result in a fight. If you are not sure what you're looking for - I would suggest you go to an LFS and get a pair (that you've seen paired)
 
At first, I had two different types of clown, the more expensive one jump out of tank the first night and next day I went and got anonother Ocellaris which is slight larger and they are always together.
