Clown fish bullying

So I have two clowns and on anemone. I thought it would be peaceful to watch the clowns share an anemone. However the bigger clown always chases the smaller one away from the anemone. And I always see chasing all through the day. Thnkfully it the smaller clown has no evidence of physical damage, but I want them to be happy together. [emoji180] What should I do to get them to get along?

Btw, I bought them both together (last two in the tank) so I thought they may be a mated pair. Boy was I wrong.

That's what female clowns do. They always tell the males who is boss. It would probably be the same for us humans if females didnt have a filter to stop themselves from teaching us males who is boss.

So is this even possible?

Or if there is more than one clown in an anemone I can assume they are all males hiding from a female? Like their in a man anemone (aka man cave).

How long have you had them? I had one pair that did it for 3-4 months then she's only bully the male every now and then but for the most part they stuck together.

Its been about 2 - 3 weeks now. Does yours share the same anemone now?

It’s happening because the female clown lol wants everything to be hers. As you know most females just like to boss these poor guys around lol. (Jk)

My mated clowns have been pretty good most of the time, until recently. The female clown just hates my bellus angel fish. The good thing is my angel is much faster than the clown fish is. She has even gotten nippy with my Lt.Tang and wow he tail slapped her across the tank. She then tried with my smaller blue hippo tang and purple tang, which all ended badly for the clown. So now she won’t chase any of my tangs, but just my female bellus angel. I guess she fears an affair coming on with her mate.
