Time out should be 2 weeks for the bully, not the injured.

Thanks. Forgive me, but I am new to the hobby. A Question: So is the reason to keep him in the isolation box to reintroduce him tot he tank in two weeks? Is the idea that after two weeks separated the two clowns will not be as aggressive to each other? My alternative is to take him to my QT while I wait for my new Waterbox 20 gallon which should be here in a couple of weeks.

Correct. Also gives the injured fish time to heal without being boxed up.

When you make the switch to the new tank put the injured in first. New environment means the bully hasn't taken up residence yet. May also help.
