Clown Fish Twitches

Dear Friends,

I have a 65-gallon tank with all the r8 parameters. This tank has been running for almost 8 months, I got ich in my tank a few months ago now all that is gone. after 8 weeks of running my tank its good no issue yet but, last 2 days I notice my clownfish he hides a lot. When he swims he twitches a lot and bends a lot to one side while he swims I don't know why he does this. I am a little bit worried, did my tank got any parasites again. There are other fish in my tank which is fine. I am about to introduce a new copper band in my tank after QT for 3 weeks.

Please help me...

Unless you ran your tank fallow for 78 days with no fish. And treated all the fish in quarantine tanks. Then your tank still has Ick. however it is still possible the clownfish is showing symptoms of something else. We will have to wait for someone more advanced to help you get to the bottom of this. Meanwhile you can read up about Ick, and its various life stages.

Hi Shazeen,

A photo of the clownfish or video of the behavior that's worrying you would be very helpful for diagnosis, as would an actual listing of your parameters. (Calcium, Alk and Magnesium are less important for fish than things like salinity, ammonia, nitrate & nitrite.)

Clownfish often don't display symptoms of ich, but may still be carrying it in their gills.
