Hello so I have a clown fish who I really like and attached to but the problem is I have only a few corals and he likes to host those corals put they are on the verge of dying from him I don’t want to get rid of him but I want to add more corals before adding him back. Can I keep him in my sump which is 20 gallons for a month or so?

As long as your sump is safe. I dont see why not. I usually throw my mandarin into the refugium in my sump for a day or 2 when he gets skinny. Just make sure he cant escape to another chamber where the machines can suck it up

I like keeping egg crate between chambers of sump when holding fish. It keeps them out of anything that can hurt them or at least it makes me feel like it does!!

+1. As long as it safe and you won't end up with impromptu clown sashimi, it should be okay. You'll want a cover too, in case he tries to go on an adventure.
